The population was 138 at the 2010 census. == Geography == Galestown is located at 38°34′0″N 75°42′56″W (38.566532, -75.715626).According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.26 square miles (0.67 km2), of which 0.24 square miles (0.62 km2) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km2) is water. == Demographics == === 2010 census === As of the census of 2010, there were 138 people, 49 households, and 31 families living in the town. The population density was 575.0 inhabitants per square mile (222.0/km2). There were 57 housing units at an average density of 237.5 per square mile (91.7/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 84.8% White, 13.8% African American, and 1.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.7% of the population. There were 49 households, of which 38.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 36.7% were married couples living together, 20.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 36.7% were non-families. 30.6% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
