Age Requirements

The population was 592 at the 2000 census. == Geography == Cordova is located at 38°52′40″N 75°59′28″W (38.877699, −75.990973).According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.9 square miles (13 km2), all land. == Demographics == As of the census of 2000, there were 592 people, 214 households, and 167 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 122.0 people per square mile (47.1/km2). There were 230 housing units at an average density of 47.4/sq mi (18.3/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 89.70% White, 9.80% African American, 0.17% Native American, 0.17% from other races, and 0.17% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.69% of the population. There were 214 households, out of which 39.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.7% were married couples living together, 11.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.5% were non-families. 18.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.77 and the average family size was 3.15.
