Register with the State For Your MMCC Card
To get started, you must first register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC). The MMCC is responsible for verifying Maryland state residency and issuing medical cannabis IDs.
What you’ll need to register:
- Registration fee ($25 payable by card only)
- Valid email address
- Photo ID
- If your address has recently changed, you will also need to provide two proofs of address.
Once your registration has been processed, the MMCC will send an approval email. This email will also contain an MMCC identification number, which will be important in the next step.
Consult with a Certifying Health Provider that can get you certified for your MMCC Card.

Once you have been certified, the MMCC will mail your medical cannabis ID card. In the meantime, you may visit a dispensary with your MMCC Certification or a temporary ID card (printable from your MMCC patient portal).

The final step is to visit a dispensary. Once you have obtained both your registration and certification, you can now shop at local dispensaries.

Residency Requirements
You must be a Maryland resident. A photo ID with your current address will suffice for proof.
Age Requirements
There is a minimum age requirement of 18 at the time of registration. If you are under 18, you will also need a guardian or parental figure as your caregiver.
Qualifying Conditions

Ocean City, officially the Town of Ocean City, is an Atlantic resort town in Worcester County, Maryland, United States. Ocean City is a major beach resort area along the East Coast of the United States. The population was 7,102 at the 2010 U.S. census, although during summer weekends the city hosts between 320,000 and 345,000 vacationers, and up to 8 million visitors annually. Located on Fenwick Island, it is part of the Salisbury, MD-DE Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau. == History == The land upon which the city was built, as well as much of the surrounding area, was obtained by Englishman Thomas Fenwick from the Native Americans. In 1869, businessman Isaac Coffin built the first beach-front cottage to receive paying guests. During those days, people arrived by stagecoach and ferry.Soon after, other simple boarding houses were built on the strip of sand, with the activity attracting prominent businessmen from the Maryland Eastern Shore, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Wilmington. They came not so much to visit as to survey the spit. A decision was made to develop it and 250 lots were cut into it, and a corporation was formed to help with the development of the land.
